In the event of an Emergency
If your pet has any of the following you should call the duty vet on 07802 830 658
- Convulsions or loss of consciousness
- Involvement in a road accident – even if they appear to be unscathed
- Difficulty in parturition or a prolonged labour
- Repeated vomiting especially in a large canine breed, especially when their stomach looks bloated on the left side behind the ribs
- Pain in one of the eyes causing them to rub it, or sudden enlargement of one of the eyes
- Sudden closure of one of or both eyes
- Sudden loss of vision
- Difficulty in breathing, especially if their gums are bluish or they are open mouthed
- Profuse or continuous bleeding from a wound or the mouth, ear or nostril
- Collapse, with pale or bluish gums
- Sudden onset pain with vocalising or lameness or aggression
- Sudden onset swelling of face or paws or limbs
- Sudden onset profuse watery or bloody diarrhoea leading to recumbency, especially if young or old
- Sudden paralysis in any or all limbs
- Suspected poisoning
