In the event of an Emergency

If your pet has any of the following you should call the duty vet on 07802 830 658
  • Convulsions or loss of consciousness
  • Involvement in a road accident – even if they appear to be unscathed
  • Difficulty in parturition or a prolonged labour
  • Repeated vomiting especially in a large canine breed, especially when their stomach looks bloated on the left side behind the ribs
  • Pain in one of the eyes causing them to rub it, or sudden enlargement of one of the eyes
  • Sudden closure of one of or both eyes
  • Sudden loss of vision
  • Difficulty in breathing, especially if their gums are bluish or they are open mouthed
  • Profuse or continuous bleeding from a wound or the mouth, ear or nostril
  • Collapse, with pale or bluish gums
  • Sudden onset pain with vocalising or lameness or aggression
  • Sudden onset swelling of face or paws or limbs
  • Sudden onset profuse watery or bloody diarrhoea leading to recumbency, especially if young or old
  • Sudden paralysis in any or all limbs
  • Suspected poisoning
